Explicit Fantastic is a multidimensional exhibition, which explores the issues of sex and sexuality in contemporary culture by introducing international and alternative perspectives. Created by Keep Six Contemporary Gallery, the exhibition featured the works of Bruce La Bruce, Allyson Mitchell and Tomori Nagamoto as well as numerous contemporary artists from different cultural backgrounds, sexual orientations and feminist perspectives.
After the success of typotherapy’s MyType exhibition, Keep Six Contemporary Gallery commissioned the studio to create an extensive set of materials to brand the Explicit Fantastic show. At the outset, the visual identity, which embodies the lore of sexiness, was created, followed by the window signage for the gallery, invitations, apparel, and a hard cover book documenting the show.
The exhibition was a huge success and the gallery plans to take the show on tour to international destinations.
